The scholarships are for talented students who have received high results in their examinations. Students participate in a class and perform on stage at a state level. If they are successful in the top 4, they then represent their state in the Australasian Scholarships, competing against students from around Australia. The students can win monetary prizes that assists toward their dance tuition. The scholarships are a prestigious event that all students who are able to compete in, look forward to each year. Each year the Ashfield Ballet School has students that either win or place in the Scholarships at both State and Australasian level.
